Who hasn't dreamed of getting together with friends or family in the mountains? La MaiZon du Bois can accommodate up to 12 people, with its 2 separate gîtes. The ground-floor gîte sleeps 4, and the 1st-floor duplex sleeps 8. A vacation in a typical mountain hamlet at 1500m altitude in the magnificent village of Champagny-le-Haut. With the mountains as your playground, total relaxation is guaranteed!
This ground-floor gîte sleeps 4, and is composed as follows:
A vast living room with a large dining table, and a fully-equipped kitchen. Under the alcoves and behind the sliding wooden doors are the enclosed beds. This atypical, convivial accommodation has no bedrooms, but two Savoyard closed beds with 160 cm-wide berths. It also has a bathroom with bathtub and separate toilet.
Gîte for 8 people on the 1st floor of the house:
an entrance hall, a sitting area, a living room/kitchen opening onto a sleeping area separated by a curtain and comprising a Savoyard wardrobe bed (160 cm bed in an alcove closed by a sliding door) and bunk beds (80 x 200 cm).
On the duplex floor: 2 bedrooms, each with 2 80 x 200 cm beds that can be twinned to form 1 double 160 x 200 cm bed, a large mezzanine with sitting area, a bathroom with bathtub and separate toilet.
There's also a lovely south-facing terrace with views of the surrounding mountains.
The gîte is not equipped with TV, so you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the magical landscapes of the Vanoise.
The 2 gîtes share a ski room, but are independent. To get to either one, you'll need to use the outside stairs.
La maiZon du bois is an ideal base for exploring the region on foot or skis. In winter, a shuttle bus is available to help you get around and reach Champagny resort center.
