This superb chalet for 14 guests is set back from a quiet road in the hamlet of Grand Marvel. It is less than 2.8km from Morillon and only 7.5km from the picturesque village of Samoens in the beautiful Giffre Valley.

At Chalet Vivaldaim, you will be surrounded by greenery and the sound of a babbling brook on the edge of the forest. You will be delighted to hear the birds singing as you relax under the pergola or in the jacuzzi, sunbathe on the terrace or admire the view from the cylindrical sauna. And with a bit of luck, you will receive an unexpected visit from a curious deer.

Children will be delighted with this property. They can slide down to the garden terrace.

In winter, the ski lifts from Morillon and Samoëns will take you to the Grand-Massif resorts such as Flaine, Sixt and Les Carroz. In the summer, you can enjoy great hiking and walking, mountain biking and white water sports on the Giffre river.

There are a number of shops in Morillon, including a well known bakery. For more choice, go to Samoëns. However, if you want to buy regional specialities directly from the producer, there is a farm located 500m from the Vivaldaim chalet that sells its produce.

This large and bright accommodation is spread over four levels. On the ground floor of Chalet Vivaldaim you will find a spacious ski and bike room equipped with boot and glove dryers, comfortable benches, bike storage facilities and a washing machine and dryer.

There are also three bedrooms on this level. One bedroom for two with en-suite bathroom with shower, another bedroom for two with en-suite shower room and finally a bunk room with en-suite shower room. A living room with television has also been fitted out for your comfort. It includes a games console and a kitchenette. Teenagers will love to meet up in this area to watch a film while snacking on snacks.

The main living area is on the upper floor. Comfortable sofas and armchairs have been arranged around a fireplace and TV in the impressive double-height living room. Doors open onto the beautiful covered balcony, furnished with additional sofas. This is a great place to relax and watch the sun go down. Beware of the steps. A slide allows you to slide down to the lower level terrace, where there is a cylindrical sauna, Jacuzzi and a sun terrace.

In the large kitchen, you'll find everything you need to cook up a real feast. You can eat all together at the large table, which overlooks the terrace and allows you to enjoy the beautiful view.

There are three other bedrooms on this level, two with double beds and one with twin beds, all with en-suite shower rooms. On the top floor, the attic master suite is very elegant and has an en-suite bathroom and a sitting room.

All beds will be made up for your arrival, with quality bed linen. Soft bathrobes, soft towels and Nuxe toiletries await you in the bathrooms.

There is ample space for parking several cars outside the property.

THE AREA

Whether you come in summer or winter, you will certainly not be bored during your stay at Chalet Vivaldaim.

The chalet is less than 3 km from the Morillon ski lifts and only 7.5 km from the Samoens ski resort. The ski bus stops just down the road, just 200 metres from the chalet. The ski lifts will take you to the Grand Massif resorts of Sixt, Flaine and Les Carroz. This gives you easy access to over 250km of superb and challenging pistes for all abilities. Snowfall is regular and plentiful, and there are three jam parks for freestyle enthusiasts.

In the summer, the mountain reveals its multitude of hiking and mountain biking trails, while the Giffre river offers many opportunities for white water sports. The Lac Bleu leisure centre, just outside Morillon, is a great place to spend a day with the family. There is a beach with a swimming area, horse riding, tree climbing, Segway, electric skateboarding and much more. Youngsters will love the pumptrack, play areas, inflatables and trampolines. You can fish for trout for free if you stay in the area. There is a walking trail along the river from the Vivaldaim cottage to the lake. You can also drive to the lake and park for free.

The village of Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, less than 20 minutes away, is well worth a visit. Nestled in a natural amphitheatre of high limestone cliffs, it is one of the most beautiful villages in France and is the starting point for excellent white water rafting routes and a via ferrata course.
