Chalet Elomaz

This charming contemporary chalet is perfect for groups planning to visit the Aravis region and other areas.

Located in Saint-Jean-de-Sixt and offering magnificent views of the mountains, Chalet Elomaz is halfway between the resorts of La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand, more precisely a five minute drive, or if you prefer to take the shuttle bus, the stop is 250m away. You can therefore easily access the entire Aravis ski area (220 km of various slopes).

Families will feel at home in this chalet and children will love the large garden at the edge of the wood and its downhill, ideal sledge run in winter!

The centre of the village is only 700m away and can be reached by the main road from La Clusaz which passes below the property. There is a wide choice of shops and restaurants, or head to La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand for more entertainment. The beautiful medieval town of Annecy is 25km away, a great day trip in any season.

The property

With its 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, this spacious and bright chalet can accommodate 10 people.

The main living area is on the ground floor. The hall, equipped with a ski boot dryer and a separate toilet, leads to a cosy living room where you can share convivial evenings by the fire watching television. The large table also opens onto the covered terrace with its breathtaking view of the mountains.

The modern kitchen is fully equipped, and the bar gives you the opportunity to have your breakfast sitting on one of the stools. You can also cook for a large group while continuing to chat with others.

On the lower level you will find a double bedroom, a shower room and a separate toilet. The laundry room, games room and TV room, where the children will surely enjoy spending time together, are also on this level.Three further bedrooms are on the first floor. One double room, one twin room and one room with twin beds and bunk beds. These rooms share a shower room and bathroom.Skiers will find it very convenient to use the ski room, located outside near the front door. The covered carport is large enough to park two cars.
The area

Chalet Elomaz in Saint-Jean-de-Sixt is ideally situated halfway between the villages of La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand. Together with Manigod, these three villages offer 220km of immaculate snow, with record depths and pistes for all levels.

The shuttle network is dense as it links the three areas. It is free for holders of an Aravis ski pass. So you can ski in a different place every day.

You don't ski? Head to La Clusaz, where the heated indoor and outdoor pools are open all year round, or to the ice rink. Try snowshoeing, sledging, dog sledding, horse-drawn carriage rides or ski-joering (horse drawn skiing). After a busy day, pamper yourself in one of the many spas in the area. You've earned it!
There is no shortage of activities here in spring and summer. Saint-Jean-de-Sixt is one of only two places in the world where you can practice Bun-J ride, a thrilling activity that combines the techniques of springboard jumping and bungee jumping. Not forgetting the more traditional activities. There are many marked hiking trails throughout the mountains, many of which are right outside your cottage. Take your mountain bike on the lifts to the top and then descend at your own pace.

From your chalet, visit one of the alpine farms, and watch the making of Reblochon cheese. You will leave with provisions and energy. Take a moment to relax at the aquatic complex in Le Grand Bornand, La Clusaz or Thônes. Do you want to challenge yourself? Take a climbing course, go on a via ferrata trail, try tree climbing, canyoning, white water rafting, horse riding or even go-karting and paragliding. These activities are available in the vicinity; you will be spoilt for choice.
