Based in the Hautes Alpes region, and big fans of our mountains, we rent out 10 chalets for 12 to 24 people in 2 major resorts: Vars and Montgenèvre. In this ad we present our 300 m² south-facing Chalet D, which sleeps 19 right on the ski slopes.

You'll find 7 bedrooms, each with its own private, fully-equipped bathroom, as well as a 130m² relaxation area featuring a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Finnish sauna, cinema room, dance floor and recreation room.

GUIDED TOUR OF THE CHALET

This 5-storey chalet enjoys a privileged location in Vars, on the heights of Sainte Catherine, with a breathtaking view of the ski area and the Vars valley. Every room in this prestigious chalet has been designed for your ultimate comfort.

As you enter the chalet, you enter the large entrance hall, equipped with a boot warmer and a place to store sports equipment. Further on, you enter a 45m² room that includes the fully-equipped kitchen for 19 people, the dining room, and the fully-glazed living room that presents the mountain panorama outside like nature paintings. A glass door takes you to the first terrace, where you'll find driftwood garden furniture and a dining area with barbecue.

If you go down the stone staircase, you'll arrive on the leisure floor, which boasts an indoor pool, games room (billiards and table soccer), small lounge with bar and dance floor. Glass doors open onto the second terrace - a solarium - equipped with a Finnish sauna (heated by a wood-burning stove), a 5-seater Jacuzzi, and garden furniture and deckchairs. This outdoor space is wide open to the mountains and will give you the feeling of seamlessly integrating this unrivalled landscape.

Still using the staircase, you'll eventually reach the lower floor, where you'll find the cinema room (with a large selection of DVDs).

These wellness areas are ideal for relaxing after a long day's skiing or hiking!

Where to find your personal universe in this large chalet? The top two floors are dedicated to sleeping areas. Six comfortable bedrooms each have their own bathroom or shower. These rooms, like the rest of the chalet, are decorated with care and use a maximum of noble materials (stone and wood). The 7th bedroom and shower room are on the same floor as the living room, which is a real plus for those who prefer easy access to the common areas.

The chalet has all the comforts of home: Wifi, flat-screen TV in every room, BB equipment, dishwasher, washing machine & dryer, fridge with freezer, raclette, fondue, pierrade and other appliances. The chalet is heated by a geothermal unit to ensure gentle, even heat throughout.

- It's a cycling paradise! Enjoy a family outing on an electric mountain bike, or hurtle down the slopes on a downhill mountain bike, where the trails are equipped with jumps and bends. Don't miss Europe's longest downhill mountain bike run (32km) from Vars to Embrun. More of a cyclist? Dozens of mountain passes are accessible from Vars, a beautiful Little Queen territory.
- At the crossroads of 3 different valleys (Ecrins - Queyras - Ubaye), Vars is a central starting point for all your hikes (hundreds of kilometers!) in the Southern Alps.
- Discover mountain water in all its guises: from ponds on a pedalo or for a swim, to natural waterfalls on a footpath leading to a high-altitude lake, on a raft or inflatable canoe down the Durance (be careful, it gets wet!), to the best beaches for lazing around (or water sports such as wakeboarding, boating or kiteboarding) on the shores of the great Lac de Serre Ponçon.
- For the kids, here are a few ideas: an accrobranche (tree climbing) course accessible from age 5, with "impassable" courses for the more adventurous - an equestrian center where you can discover the mountains on horseback - orienteering in the Queyras Regional Park - visits to the animals on the farm - climbing, via ferrata, canyoning - and don't forget the ping-pong table at the chalet!

HOSSZU CHALET SERVICES:

- Morning delivery of fresh bread and pastries (in summer and winter when the bakery is open).
- Meals can be delivered (half-board catering or home cooking all year round).
- End-of-stay cleaning included, daily cleaning optional.
- Linen included in the price during Christmas and February school vacations, optional the rest of the year.
- Contacts with certified instructors who can accompany you on all your sporting outings, all year round, for beginners as well as advanced athletes (ski touring, downhill skiing, racing, mountaineering, climbing, fat-bikes...).
- A team on a human scale, highly available to our guests to provide the best possible support before and during your stay.

In winter and summer, the chalet is rented from Saturday to Saturday. Weekend rentals are also possible, depending on the season. We accept dogs, but cannot accept cats.
