If you are looking for a spacious chalet with a variety of facilities on several levels, look no further!

This large, fully renovated 5-star farmhouse comfortably sleeps 15 people (10 adults and 2 babies maximum) on 4 levels and 330 sqm of living space. The chalet has a beautiful family suite for 4 people, consisting of a double bedroom, a bedroom with bunk bed and an en-suite bathroom. There are four further double bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, and a beautiful attic dormitory for 6 children or teenagers.

The property is located in Les Villards sur Thônes near the village of Saint Jean de Sixt, equidistant from the resorts of La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand. Whatever the time of year, La Ferme du Gran Shan is suitable for holidays with friends as well as for professional seminars, for sportsmen and women as well as for those looking for a purely relaxing stay. Not forgetting the children of course. In short, it is impossible to get bored in this superb chalet!
The owners have taken infinite care in restoring this old farmhouse, spending many hours sanding the old wood that makes up the entire building, redoing the floors, cleaning every corner... The whole family was involved! They wanted to preserve and renovate many original elements: doors, shutters, beams... The best local craftsmen were also called upon to complete the work with quality materials.

Everything has been thought of for the comfort of the future tenants: the space has been optimized in order to offer many leisure activities to the guests inside the chalet. The owners infused their personality into the chalet, while respecting the Savoyard architecture and the authenticity of the place. And their efforts have paid off! For example, you will love the beautiful collection of old farming tools, all of which were found during the renovation of the farmhouse. Instead of getting rid of them, they have put them on display in a superb niche overlooking the living room, worthy of the most beautiful Savoyard museums!

The warm atmosphere of the chalet is accentuated by the use of light in the form of LED ribbons and indirect lighting, which magnify the superb wooden frame.

On the ground floor, the glassed-in spa area offers a beautiful view of the outside and houses a swim spa, with 4 spa seats and counter-current swimming, as well as a sauna and shower.

Other facilities include a games room, home cinema, ski room with shoe warmer and a real vaulted cellar for your wine tasting! Younger guests will love the attic room with its slope-themed cabin beds and many other surprises... The chalet has enough space for 18 people to enjoy a pleasant stay without getting in the way.

Open and bright, the living space consists of a comfortable lounge, a kitchen, a dining area and an office. It is built around the imposing original stone fireplace, whose crackling flames will punctuate your moments of conviviality. On the same level are 3 double bedrooms, all with their own bathroom.

Outside there is ample parking, two terraces and areas to share your meals or enjoy the sun. There are several hiking trails from the chalet, which offer uninterrupted views over the Aravis mountains to the Thônes valley.

Please note that although the property sleeps 18 people, it is limited to a maximum of 15 people for legal security reasons.

IMPORTANT: Please note that the maximum occupancy of the property is limited to 15 people. In application of the fire safety regulations, the property complies with the provisions of the modified decree of 31 January 1986 for residential buildings. Therefore, even if this property has beds for 18 people, the maximum occupancy of the property must not exceed 15 people in order to comply with the provisions of the decree of 22 June 1990 excluding the said property from establishments open to the public.
